The Problem
You already have a brand book. That's not a brand system.
It's a PDF. Somebody spent six figures on it two years ago, and it's been open exactly twice since: once at the launch meeting, once when someone got yelled at for using the wrong blue. Meanwhile Copilot is generating decks in whatever font it feels like, SharePoint has fourteen versions of the same template, and your brand managers are policing color codes in Slack.That's not a system. That's a document nobody's accountable to.

The Problem
The problem isn't your brand. It's that nobody wired it into the tools you actually use.
Guidelines fail for a boring reason: they live somewhere separate from the work. Copilot doesn't read your PDF. SharePoint doesn't enforce your type scale. PowerPoint doesn't know your voice and tone unless something teaches it. A brand system that isn't inside Microsoft 365, actually configured into the Brand Center, the Brand kit, the templates Copilot pulls from, isn't a system. It's a hope.
